Definition of Taekwon-Do

Taekwon-Do is a modern art of self defence founded by the Korean army General
Choi Hong Hi 9th Dan.
Techniques of Taekwon-Do were designed to produce maximum power and
effectiveness by using principles of modern science through intensive physical
and mental training
Nowadays Taekwon-Do is the most popular martial art in the world. Being taught
in almost every country Taekwon-Do gained status of:
• universal self defence,
• fantastic physical activity for people in every age,
• social development and education system for children and
• spectacular sport.
Taekwon-Do techniques base on the unarmed body. Dynamic and
effective kicking techniques often performed while jumping and spinning are the
most recognizable icon of Taekwon-Do.
